Flickers for woodwind quintet and percussion

 Flickers may have received its title from the rhythm of the pecking woodpecker or the flickering between sonorities of the various instruments. The work has two contrasting movements linked together without pause. The percussionist alternates between tom-toms, vibraphone and the xylophone. Flickers was completed in 1990.
