Suite No. 2 for woodwind quintet

Suite No. 2 was written in 1969 and has been recorded by the Bergen Woodwind Quintet (Philips 6529 074) in cooperation with the Society of Norwegian Composers and PolyGram Records A/S.

Based on the concept of the Baroque suite each of the five movements is contrasting. However, oddities like the first movement (March) in mixed meter, and the fourth movement (Hymn) break with the traditional dance character of a suite. The tonal language is free throughout the entire work.
