We presently offer 24 track analog/digital recording with first rate equipment using Pro Tools HD with the Audient DLC 24 studio console. We also use the Sound Devices 788T multi-track recorder for field recordings. Additional equipment includes the Millennia HV-3D (with 4 ribbon inputs), the SYTEK MPX-4A, the AEA-RPQ2 (ribbon) and several Daking Mic Pre One (tube) mic preamps and microphones by AKG, Audio Technica, Audix(n), Danish Pro Audio, Electro-Voice, Microtech Gefell, Neumann, Royer, Røde, Schoeps, Sennheiser and Shure. Outboard effects processors include, among others, reverbs by Bricasti (M7),Yamaha (SPX 2000) and Lexicon (LXP-1, LXP-5 and 300), and compressor/limiters by Manley, Summit (DCL-200), dbx, and Symetrix.
Recordings are normally executed in 24 bit but can be converted to any standard bit rate and sample rate using the Apogee PSX-100 SE. We still have digital tape decks including Tascam DA-88, DA-P1, DA-45HR and the Panasonic SV-3700.
Audio editing and processing is accomplished using the latest ProTools HD software. Plug-ins by Digidesign, Waves (Platinum Bundle and Restoration), IK-Mlutimedia, iZotope, Native Instruments, Omnisphere by Spectronics, and many other developers are commonly utilized. MIDI compositions are normally created using the Digital Performer software by Mark of the Unicorn and Pro Tools.
Sound effects are created in-house. Additional effects from Hollywood Edge and other studios are used when needed.
Video processing is done using the full version of Apple's Final Cut Pro, Avid's Media Composer or Adobe Premiere Pro. We are able to do a limited number of DVD creations using Apple's DVD Pro software. Conversion to international formats is available. Hardware includes SONY Betacam SP and HD/DV and sevaral Canon HD cameras and Betacam SP and DVcam editing recorders. We continue to process Composite, S-VHS and Hi-8 formats.
The Macintosh Pro platform is used in all audio and video editing.
